Windows XP Setup

1. Click Start, go to All Programs, Accessories, Communications; choose Network Connections.
2. Under Network Tasks, choose Create a New Connection.
3. The New Connection Wizard should appear. Click Next
4. Make sure that Connect to the Internet is selected. Click Next.
5. Select Setup up my connection manually. Click Next.
6. Select Connect using a dial-up modem. Click Next.
7. Connection type: type in downeast.net. Click Next.
8. Phone Number to Dial is XXX-XXX-XXXX. Click Next.
9. Fill in your username and password into the appropriate fields. You will have to type your password twice to confirm it. Make sure you have selected Use this account and password when anyone... and Make this the default... but remove the checkmark from Turn on Internet Connection Firewall. Click Next.
10. Completing the new Connection Wizard. Leave checkmark in Add a shortcut if you would like one on your desktop. Click Finish.
