Windows 2000 Setup

1. Click Start, go to Settings, Control Panel, choose Network and Dial-up Connections.
2. Click on Create a New Connection.
3. The New Connection Wizard should appear. Click Next
4. Select Dial-up to the Internet . Click Next.
5. Select I want to setup my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN). Click Next.
6. Select I connect through a phone line and modem. Click Next.
7. Make sure the modem you wish to connect through is high-lighted in the box. Click Next.
8. Phone Number to Dial is XXX-XXX-XXXX. uncheck Use area code and dialing rules. Click Next
9. Type in your username, make sure to include the @downeast.net. Type in your Password. Click Next.
10. Connection name is Dowenast.Net. Click Next.
11. Select No to setting up an internet mail account now. Click Next
12. Completing the new Connection Wizard. Leave checkmark in To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box and then click Finish. Click Finish.
